La Cresciamia
The crescia, a kind of unleavened bread, at the time of the Ancient Umbrians was cooked on a stone plate heated by the fire called “panaro”. Later the slab took on a round shape. In even more recent times the stone panaro has been replaced with a rather thick iron plate disc.
It is ideal served with cold cuts, meats or vegetables and can be used as a substitute for bread… NOW YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!
